Think one step further
SILOTOP® polyTUBE™ Silo Venting Filter

Building on the worldwide success of the SILOTOP® zero filter unit, WAM have introduced their next generation silo venting filter - SILOTOP® polyTUBE™. Specifically designed for concrete batching plants, this filter gives excellent performance and is smaller, quieter, lighter, has fewer parts and has substantially lower running costs.

The polyTUBE™ filter cartridges are cleaned using pulse mechanical cleaning instead of the traditional method of reverse-jet cleaning, eliminating the use of compressed air. Compressed air requires large amounts of electricity and this electricity is responsible for significant financial cost and CO2 emissions.

  • Excellent filtration performance
  • No compressed air required
  • Lower running costs than reverse-jet filters
  • Far lower CO2 emissions, as less electricity used
  • 3 x quieter than reverse-jet filters

During the cleaning process, an impulse is triggered by a cam and a small electric motor, which is distributed evenly over the head of the polyTUBE™ element by means of a plate diffuser. Compared to compressed air-based cleaning, this mechanical cleaning requires far less energy, generates three times less operating noise & protects the filter medium.

The SILOTOP® polyTUBE™ has a differential pressure gauge which monitors the resistance to the air flow through the cartridges and uses this to trigger a cleaning cycle only when necessary. Most filter units of this kind can only be set to fire a reverse-jet pulse of air at a fixed time interval, e.g. every 30 seconds, increasing compressed air usage.
